No system is perfect. Sometimes a WinCops protected program will be unable to identify a valid key diskette. Sometimes this can be for a very banal reason: for example the key diskette has been made using a poor-quality no-name diskette. However, an unusual combination of hardware and software can cause key disk recognition to fail. In this case, you can rescue your customer and yourself by issuing a Rescue Code which overrides the key diskette check and allows a machine installation to be made.
General
WinCops II is a natural development of our well-known WinCops I which has been protecting Windows applications since 1990. WinCops II has a new, efficient user interface known as CopsMenu that will be the new windows standard interface for our protection products. The CopsMenu interface can be set to Simple or Advanced mode depending on the technical proficiency of the operator.
Script files are created and maintained in the Advanced mode. These files include a complete job definition and enable you to carry out specialized jobs by simply running a previously defined script..
NT support
WinCops II now supports NT 3.51,4.0,
5.0 and Win2000. The protected program iself runs under NT
Key diskette production must be carried out under Windows 3.X,
Win95/98.
DLL sizes
No limit! - WinCops protects 16-bit DLL files - 32-bit code must be expanded to use a 16-bit DLL.
Loader support
All serial loaders compatible with the Trace-Mountain Serial Protocol are supported by WinCops II.
